Response : Chris, I agree with you that we speeding is a great issue for teenagers and young drivers . Speeding is responsible for fatal death of teens and their friends. Those who see their friends death in front of their eyes are greatly affected emotionally and mentally and the auto accident leaves an ever lasting effect on their lifes.

As per the National Highway traffic safety association here are some statastics :
* Of all drivers aged 15-24 years of age involved in fatal crashes, 32 percent were speeding.

* Of drivers under age 21 involved in fatal crashes, 38 percent of the male and 24 percent of the female
drivers were speeding.

It is really suprising that teen girls are almost equally prone to speeding as the teenaged boys and what might suprise you more is that girls speeding are more likely to be involved in a fatal accident than the boys.

Here are some more facts on speeding in general :

*Sixty six percent of speed-related crashes involved a single vehicle.

* Sixty percent of all speed- related fatal crashes occurred at night (6 pm to 6 am).

* Drivers involved in speed-related fatal crashes are more likely to have a history of traffic violations.

* On average, 1,000 Americans are killed every month in speed-related crashes.

These facts are naturally very distrubing but unfortunately a reality. What I would like the teenagers and their parents to focus here is that night driving is something that should not be allowed and it is defienetly dangerous. Secondly, it is time we paid attention to the children incase they had some traffic violations, since this is an indication to us that something needs to be done for the teenager.

Naturally if speeding is there and accidents occur the teen auto insurance quotes would remain high and thus speeding and traffic violations need to stop to get cheap teen auto insurance and keep our teen safety. We want them to be safe and enjoy life to the fullest in a safe manner. They do hear our message and am sure they will put it into practice, after all they will be responsible and patient.
