Blake Lively : What are the most important questions to be answered for reduce your auto insurance premium?
Response: Teen Auto insurance can be reduced in a number of ways, which is the most important in this tough times. You need to ask yourself the following questions :
1) Is the teen auto insurance coverage limit correct?
If you are driving an old car which is an old model say more than 10 years old or it is not a very expensive car, than you need not take the comprehensive and collision coverage. This way you will save a lot in car insurance premiums.
2) Have I provided all the updated information on the policy: If your credit record has impoved, or you are not having other drivers living with you, or if you have moved, it is best if you inform the insurance company about this since your car insurance policy premium will reduce.
3) What should be my deductible ?
The higher the deductible the less will be your auto insurance premium. According to the Insurance Information Institute, raising your deductibles to $500 could reduce your Collision and Comprehensive costs by 15 to 30 percent.
4) Are there any discounts which I can be eligible for ? The insurance companies do offer different discounts from time to time and this is what you should examine. Secondly, if you have not been involved with a auto accident and are with the same insurer you might qaulify for a no claim discount. Safety discounts might be obtained if you have added safety features like anti-brake to your vehicle.
5) Should I shop online for auto insurance rates? Most certainly since the internet is changing marketing and bringing the insurance company right at your door step. You can certainly check out the free online quotes. You need not pay anything since the insurance company is paying a very small cost for advertisments to individuals who are marketing their offers. You get the benefit of the best rate and your tailor made coverages. Your auto insurance premium can really reduce if you compare and search fro cheap auto insurance quotes.
All the best.
Thanks.

Mary Couch : I am a teenager and what should I do if I get involved in a teen auto accident? How much loss can ocurr? Will my auto insurance rate go up?
Response : When any person let alone a teenager gets involved in an auto accident, than the regulations are the same for all but or certain steps you should take in order that your auto insurance claim is not prejudiced :
• Make sure that everyone involved is safe and that medical/emergency care is being provided.
• Notify the local police.
• Write down the following information:
• Location, date, and time
• Names, addresses, and license numbers of other drivers and passengers
• License plate numbers and vehicle descriptions
• Injuries to you and others, if any
• Names and telephone numbers of any witnesses
The amount of loss is difficult to say since it would vary from each accident and the severity of the accident. After the auto accident the insurance premium will defintely be high and this would continue to be high for a period of 3 years even if the loss paid by the insurance company is not high, since the claim shows that you are not a safe driver. Your driving record is affected. If the severity of the accident is higher than you might get some points on your license and this will affect your auto insurance premium which will be much higher. For cheap auto insurance quotes or cheap teen car insurance quotes you will have to improve your driving record and also shop online for comparitive auto insurance quotes.
Thanks.

teen auto insurance- auto accident
I’m 16 years old i was driving to a friends house when i lost control of my 2000 chevy blazer, I hit a tree doing about 55 I shattered my kneecap into 8 pieces and I was unable to walk for two months, i live in Jacksonville florida. 7 cars drove by while I laid bleeding on the side of the road one person finally stopped as I had given up. I am looking for a good auto insurance quote.
-Brett H.
Response: Brett, I am sorry about you accident and the fact that you had such a bad experience on the road. Hope you are feeling much better. Now as on getting an insurance quote, you have come to the right place and I am sure you will find a cheap car insurance quote here. However, cheap is relative to what you are being offered elsewhere since, you have already a car accident and so irrespective of whether you are at fault or not, your insurance premium will increase, since the insurance company had to bear the expense. The auto insurance rate will be high only for about 3 years, wherein most companies would consider loading for the claim. The claim will be on record for a period of 7 years.
I advise you to go for graduated riving lessons if you have not taken them and this will help in bringing down your insurance premium since you will be offered a discount. Take the driving lessons and this will help in building your confidence and judgment. Secondly, please see that you have the safety features in your car and this will also help in getting a discount and will ensure your safety.
Take care.

I was involved in a car accident which happened in Charlotte, NC on March 29, 2003. Car lost control, went off road into ditch, ramped out of ditch into a tree, then rolled a few times. The driver a 18 years old lad and my friend was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the car at impact with the tree. I, the passenger, wearing my seatbelt, was pinned inside of the car. The Fire Dep’t had to use the Jaws of Life to get me out. The driver was paralyzed from the chest down, I fractured 5 vertabrae, broke 2 ribs and suffered bruising on the brain.

Accident like this are one of the reasons why teen auto insurance rates are very high. The young drivers tend to be easily distracted by others and loose their concentration. This is the reason why they have to be more careful and stay away from distractions.
Another key feature of this is not wearing the seat belt. Had the driver worn the seat belt he would not have been paralysed.
It is a great tragedy that a little lapse can lead to such grave consequences. Teenagers need to learn their lessons of safety. Drive carefully and drive safely. You save your own self and also save your hard earned money by qualifying for cheap teen auto insurance.

Teen auto insurance
Auto accidents increases the auto insurance. It is best to ensure safety and control speed. Driving habits are the key to teen auto insurance rates. Here is an example of a teenager auto accident.
This is the 2001 Nissan Xterra I was a passenger in on Interstate 75. On April 11, 2007, my friends and I were on the way to Florida for our Senior Trip, but unfortunately we didn’t make it there. The driver of the Xterra our one time friend was speeding going about 99-100 mph when we got cut off by a lady driver in a Honda Civic. My driver decided to do the normal thing a teenager would do and flip the lady off and ride her rear end till she left us alone. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out this time for us, the driver of the Honda Civic decided to slam on her brakes (in the fast lane of the Interstate) and my driver (of the Xterra) got over a lane to miss rear ending her, and of course there was a car there (horrible Atlanta traffic) so she had to get back over, remember this was all at the speed of 100 mph, and we ended up clipping the front end of the Honda Civic, which made us, in a top heavy car, begin to roll uncontrollably across the interstate. Our final resting place, after 15 flips, was at the next exit 277 Acworth, GA on the opposite side of the entrance to the on ramp. Luckily, we all had our seatbelts on and survived with only one person having severe injuries. No airbags deployed, needless to say I will never ride in a Nissan again. The lesson here is, drive the speed limit, wear your seatbelt, and don’t have road rage! No one was charged with any aggressive driving, speeding, etc. charges in this accident.
The teenager auto insurance rate shoot up. It is best to control your speed and ensure safe driving especially when one is on the highway. Drive safe and save yourself and others. Safety is first. We learnt that speeding is a killer.
