Keith Baxter: How can you get cheap auto insurance teen discounts? What are the auto discounts that a teenager can obtain for auto insurance?
Response: There are a number of discounts the teenager can obtain for a cheap auto insurnace quote and it would vary from company to company or change from time to time and hence the need to compare auto insurance quote. Here are some of the discounts :
Graduated driving lessons discount: Defensive driving is one of the ways of obtaining auto insurance discount for young drivers. The discount normally applies for 3 years. For example, if your auto insurance premium is $150 per month, the premium is $5,400 for 3 years. The policy holder will not get 10% discount on the comprehensive coverage, but all other auto insurance coverages. One can easily save $450-$550/- for their personal expenses in a period of 3 years.
Good student discounts: It has been statistically proved that young drivers who are good students are more reliable and mature and this enables them to make better driving decisions. Based on these findings, the young driver is given a discount of 5-10% for obtaining a good grade, normally an average over B in high school or college. If the young driver has to pay his or her own automobile insurance, this will be another motivator for him or her to make good grades
Auto Safety Features: Most insurers consider that owners with cars containing safety features may have fewer accidents and reduced injuries. Safety features like antilock brakes, air bags and other additional features in a car are encouraged especially for young drivers. The insurer will give you higher auto insurance discount for these safety features.
Claims free discount: Once you have had no claims on your auto insurance policy for 3 years, you will get low auto insurance rates since you will get a claims free discount.
Online Insurance discounts: Most insurance companies give a higher discount when insurance is bought online since they save operating costs.
Membership discount: Being a member of an association, a school or club would get you a car insurance discount.
Multiple cars, multiple coverage discounts can be obtained if you insure multiple cars or multiple coverages like auto and home with one insurance company.
I am sure these tis would really help you get auto discounts. Check out the quotes here and am sure you will not be at all disppointed.

teen auto insurance- auto accident
I’m 16 years old i was driving to a friends house when i lost control of my 2000 chevy blazer, I hit a tree doing about 55 I shattered my kneecap into 8 pieces and I was unable to walk for two months, i live in Jacksonville florida. 7 cars drove by while I laid bleeding on the side of the road one person finally stopped as I had given up. I am looking for a good auto insurance quote.
-Brett H.
Response: Brett, I am sorry about you accident and the fact that you had such a bad experience on the road. Hope you are feeling much better. Now as on getting an insurance quote, you have come to the right place and I am sure you will find a cheap car insurance quote here. However, cheap is relative to what you are being offered elsewhere since, you have already a car accident and so irrespective of whether you are at fault or not, your insurance premium will increase, since the insurance company had to bear the expense. The auto insurance rate will be high only for about 3 years, wherein most companies would consider loading for the claim. The claim will be on record for a period of 7 years.
I advise you to go for graduated riving lessons if you have not taken them and this will help in bringing down your insurance premium since you will be offered a discount. Take the driving lessons and this will help in building your confidence and judgment. Secondly, please see that you have the safety features in your car and this will also help in getting a discount and will ensure your safety.
Take care.

Keira: I am a teen and want to know why the teen auto accident crash involvement is so high? Secondly, how do crashes involving teenagers differ from other drivers?
Response: Immaturity and lack of driving experience are the main reasons. Compared with older drivers, teenagers as a group are more willing to take risks and less likely to use safety belts. They also are more likely than older drivers to underestimate the dangers associated with hazardous situations and less able to cope with such dangers.
Teenagers not only have higher crash rates than other age groups, but they also have crashes that are different. Analyses of fatal crash data indicate that teenage drivers are more likely to be at fault in their crashes. Teenagers’ crashes and violations are more likely to involve speeding than those of older drivers, and teenagers are more likely than drivers of other ages to be in single-vehicle fatal crashes. Plus, teenagers do more of their driving in small and older cars3 and at night, compared with adults. In 2003, 42 percent of teenagers’ fatalities occurred between 9 pm and 6 am, and 54 percent occurred on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
And for 16 year-olds, all these problems are heightened. The combination of inexperience behind the wheel and immaturity produces a pattern of fatal crashes among 16 year-olds that includes the highest percentage of crashes involving speeding, the highest percentage of single-vehicle crashes, and the highest percentage of crashes with driver error. This is why the insurance companies rate this group very high for auto insurance rates. However, taking the tips and driving lessons you can have cheap auto insurance quotes.
Drive safely and carefully to save auto insurances.
