Mike Hill : I am back again. I would like to know how long my son can get cheap auto insurance quotes, since he is getting excellent grades. He will soon be 25 years old.

Cheap students auto insurance with good grades discounts.
Response : Mike, I know that when you are sending a student to college requires a good deal of financial planning to make sure the student is able to receive a quality education. One way many parents keep their budget in check while sending a child to college is to take advantage of discounts for car insurance for college students. This would earn them and gives them cheap student auto insurance.

Cheap student auto insurance is usually attainable by making sure to take advantage of all discounts offered and by using an online resource to compare the discounts offered by multiple companies to find the company that provides the best discount car insurance for college students.

College offers an average high school student the chance to start fresh. For students who did not carry the necessary grade point average (GPA) for student car insurance discounts, college offers them a fresh slate to build a great GPA and earn a discount.

College graduate discounts often carry on this discount until age 25, after the student graduates. Many insurance companies will continue to apply the good student discount they earned while in school until they reach an age when their risk level drops.

Mike, here is a tip, you do not have to worry a lot about the good grades discounts , since if you encourage and guide your son and instill good driving habits, than he will definetely get a cheap auto insurance quotes. He will have already built a good driving record of over 8 years since he started driving as a teen. Teen auto insurance are expensive , but now his driving record is the key to cheap auto insurances.

Gary Vee: If someone borrows my car are they covered under my policy?

Reponse: People are often confused as to who is covered under a standard auto insurance policy. There are typically only one or two names listed in the “Named Insured” section of an auto insurance policy, but that doesn’t mean that those are the only people who are covered under the policy. As a general rule, auto insurance coverage actually follows the vehicle, not the driver. So if your car is involved in an accident, the car typically receives the full coverage provided by the auto insurance policy, regardless of who is driving.

However, there are a few conditions that you will have to comply with:

  • The driver driving the vehicle at the time of the accident must be licensed.
  • The driver who was driving should have been given permission from you to drive your vehicle.
  • Remember that your auto insurance policy would have to pay for the damage to the vehicle but if your friend has an auto insurance policy and he is named in the tort case or law suit for personal injury than his auto insurance policy will be the first payee. Also since a claim will be regeistered under your auto insurance policy, your auto insurance premium would be higher. Read on the blog how you can get cheap auto insurance and go for a quote. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

If you have another teenage driver under your roof who uses your car, he or she should be listed on your insurance policy even though your insurance rates may increase substantially. Technically, a teen who is not listed on your policy would still be covered if he or she had an accident. But your insurer could charge you retroactively for coverage on your teen from the date that your teen became a licensed driver.

If you have failed to declare your teen as a driver under the auto insurance policy some companies would consider it a misrepresentation and your policy would be void. It is best to inform the insurance company for any change in the status of drivers or any other changes which are material to the auto insurance policy.

    teen auto insurance- auto accident

I’m 16 years old i was driving to a friends house when i lost control of my 2000 chevy blazer, I hit a tree doing about 55 I shattered my kneecap into 8 pieces and I was unable to walk for two months, i live in Jacksonville florida. 7 cars drove by while I laid bleeding on the side of the road one person finally stopped as I had given up. I am looking for a good auto insurance quote.

    -Brett H.

Response: Brett, I am sorry about you accident and the fact that you had such a bad experience on the road. Hope you are feeling much better. Now as on getting an insurance quote, you have come to the right place and I am sure you will find a cheap car insurance quote here. However, cheap is relative to what you are being offered elsewhere since, you have already a car accident and so irrespective of whether you are at fault or not, your insurance premium will increase, since the insurance company had to bear the expense. The auto insurance rate will be high only for about 3 years, wherein most companies would consider loading for the claim. The claim will be on record for a period of 7 years.

I advise you to go for graduated riving lessons if you have not taken them and this will help in bringing down your insurance premium since you will be offered a discount. Take the driving lessons and this will help in building your confidence and judgment. Secondly, please see that you have the safety features in your car and this will also help in getting a discount and will ensure your safety.

    Take care.

    Auto accidents increases auto insurance.

Auto accidents increases the auto insurance. It is best to ensure safety and control speed. Driving habits are the key to teen auto insurance rates. Here is an example of a teenager auto accident.

This is the 2001 Nissan Xterra I was a passenger in on Interstate 75. On April 11, 2007, my friends and I were on the way to Florida for our Senior Trip, but unfortunately we didn’t make it there. The driver of the Xterra our one time friend was speeding going about 99-100 mph when we got cut off by a lady driver in a Honda Civic. My driver decided to do the normal thing a teenager would do and flip the lady off and ride her rear end till she left us alone. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out this time for us, the driver of the Honda Civic decided to slam on her brakes (in the fast lane of the Interstate) and my driver (of the Xterra) got over a lane to miss rear ending her, and of course there was a car there (horrible Atlanta traffic) so she had to get back over, remember this was all at the speed of 100 mph, and we ended up clipping the front end of the Honda Civic, which made us, in a top heavy car, begin to roll uncontrollably across the interstate. Our final resting place, after 15 flips, was at the next exit 277 Acworth, GA on the opposite side of the entrance to the on ramp. Luckily, we all had our seatbelts on and survived with only one person having severe injuries. No airbags deployed, needless to say I will never ride in a Nissan again. The lesson here is, drive the speed limit, wear your seatbelt, and don’t have road rage! No one was charged with any aggressive driving, speeding, etc. charges in this accident.

The teenager auto insurance rate shoot up. It is best to control your speed and ensure safe driving especially when one is on the highway. Drive safe and save yourself and others. Safety is first. We learnt that speeding is a killer.
