Alex Jeffrey : What are the consequences of having no auto insurance fror a young driver? I am a teen driver and do not want to pay expensive auto insurance quotes

Teen auto insurance are necessary, get cheap car insurance :

Response : Alex the very thought of driving a car for a young driver or a teen without teen auto insurance is something you should not dream also. The fact is that it would be most dangerous not to have a car insurance coverage for any one who is driving, let alone teenagers. Once you go through this blog post you will agree with me since you are a smart person.

Car insurance is compulsory in almost every state in the US requires drivers and motorists to have minimum level of car insurance. This is to make sure that these drivers, young driver or motorists have liability coverage in case they find themselves in at-fault accidents. The penalties for not having car insurance differ from state to state, but the general rule is that there would be heavy fines as well as impoundment of one’s vehicle and suspension of one’s driving license.

1) Penalty fines for each state would differ according to each one’s law, and the estimated amount is around $150-$500. In addition to that, these uninsured drivers and motorists would also have to pay for the tow and storage charges when their vehicle has been impounded. Now, in case you are at fault than the consequences would be more serious. You will have to pay for the damages and injuries you cause. You would also have to comply with the financial responsibility laws.

2) There is also the possibility of going to court, as well as the public embarrassment that is associated with the act. Incarceration is another risk for the uninsured driver or motorist, and is allowed in some states. Both kinds of punishment involve the loss of time, money, and reputation. The latter penalty is harsher for the individual as it provides the risk of losing one’s job and the humiliation of having spent time in jail.

3) If you are involved in an accident and are uninusred than you might end up paying from your pocket. If you are a minor than you depending upon the state laws your parents would be held responsible and will have to pay the damage to the third party where you are at fault.

4) Last but not least you might have to get a SR22 insurance form which is a proof of insurance. The teen auto inusrance quote with Sr22 form would be very expensive even much more than what you are getting now and hence it is in your own best interest to get your auto insurance. Also remember that the SR22 insurance is for a period of 10 years in most states once you are required to obtain it.

In reality you would end up paying much much more than you intend to save with the risk and fear of facing much graver xconsequences. Get cheap car insurance quotes instead. The best course of action that you can take is to look on the web at sites like teen auto ins quote and other comparitive sites which will give you multiple quotes and help you get cheap car insurance quotes. Its a matter of just taking action and you can get cheap car insurance or cheap teen auto insurance quotes right now. Enjoy the cheap car insurance premium and the ride in your car at all risk on the general insurance company.

Happy Easter .

Jennifer Gaga : My car was towed to a auto repair shop due to an accident. The insurance company assessed the damage and totaled the vehicle. I have only liability coverage on the vehicle, will I be able to get the damage for the car. Also, I had a trailer hitch installed on the vehicle which is not part of the original vehicle makeup. I own the hitch assembly which is attached by 8 bolts. The shop adjuster refused to allow me to remove the assembly . My question is…can or are they allowed to deny me acquiring what I own from the vehicle? They want to charge me a tear down fee to remove it. It’s sitting on their lot. They said I can’t do “work” on their property. What should I do?

Comprehensive auto insurance is a requirement for Teen auto insurances

Response : Jennifer there are two issues to your problem one is whether you would get the auto damage coverage for your car presently when you do not have a comprehnsive auto insurance coverage. In cases like this it would depend upon who is at fault and if the opposite driver is at fault you would be paid by his insurance company for the auto insurance damage since it would fall in the dirveres third party property damage coverage. Please ring up your insurance company and ask them details about who has been at fault. If you are at fault 50% than you would be reimbursed 50% of your cost.

It is most advisable to have a comprehensive auto insurance coverage for teens or young drivers since they are more prone to accidents as per the statastics also. Secondly, if it is a new car it is better to pay a slightly higher premium and get your full coverage or comprhensive auto insurance coverage also. Once you compare auto insurance quotes online you will get cheap car insurance quotes quite easily.

Now about the shop repairer not allowing you to remove your own stuff, it would be best to ask the insurance company for support and clarify from them in writing that they give permission to you to remove your stuff. This is best since the insurance company might have already sold the salvage to the shop reparier and so he would not allow you to touch the property or work on his premises since he is responsbile. If you have coverage for the same under your home policy you can ask for a claim under your home policy.

Let me now if you have any further questions on teen auto insurance or cheap car insurance quotes.
Thanks.

Jenffier Garnier : I learnt a lot on how to get cheap car insurance for young drivers and a cheap auto insurance quote for my car . Thanks I saved $477/- per year. I have some querries for auto insurance claims. What if I meet with an accident when I am a passenger in a car? Will I qualify for cheap car insurance if involved in an accident as a passenger?

Teen auto insurance and car insurance claims
Response :Jennifer, thanks for sharing with me that you got cheap car insurance for young drivers from here. Your satisfaction is most rewarding for me. When you are involved in any auto insurance claims situation if you are aware of how to go about things, it saves a lot of time and grief on both sides – yours as well as the insurance company.

There will be two situtations where you are the passanger of a car involved in an auto accident. One is when you are riding in the car out of choice in your friends vehicle or family vehicle. As a passenger, you can collect for damages from one of two ways: 1) under your driver’s medical payments coverage or 2) filing a claim against the at-fault driver’s liability coverage. You must collect like the driver, all important information—names, addresses, license numbers, policy numbers, etc. How much you will be paid would depend upon the extent of your injury, how much coverage your fried or family has, how many people were involved in the accident, and on how well insured the other drivers are. This is because under liablity there is a per person and per accident limit.

Taking another example, if you are riding a cab as a paid passenger and are involved in an auto accident, than besides the above ways of claiming you have another option. You can file a legal suit against the cab driver or the cab driver’s company claiming for your injury and any other damages resulting from the injury.

Will I qualify for cheap car insurance if involved in an accident as a passenger?

This will not blemish your driving record since you were not driving and also not affect youa auto insurance rates since it was not involving your vehicle. You will still get the cheap car insurance rate on your auto insurance policy which you can continue to enjoy.

Thanks.
Happy Valentie Day.

Evangeline Lilly: I am looking for cheap car insurance quotes for my duaghter who is a teen and will be getting her driving license soon.

Get cheap car insurance for your teen : 5 tips what not to do.

Response: Insuring your teenager driver or teen driver is a hair-raising experience. There is the long long wait on the telephone, speaking to friends and colleagues asking them for advice or any tip of a good insurance company which gives cheap teen car insurances. Yes, I know all the hassles since I have seen many of my friends desperately seeking cheap car insurances for their teens.
Thankfully internet has taken away most of the pain and cheap car insurance quotes are revealed online. Yes, you still need to figure out how to go about getting the car insurance quotes and you are baffled by the number of sites. Here is a tip. First learn what coverages you need, the discounts you can get and the points that you have to keep in mind.
I intend to come up with a small booklet which will guide you in taking an all line quote without missing any important consideration, very soon.
Here are some of the don’t for getting a cheap teen auto insurance quote:

First, don’t procrastinate. As soon as your teenager is ready to get a permit, let your insurance company know. If you forget to buy coverage, you would be in a tight situation. It would depend upon the insurer as to what decision they reach. Some would cover it however; it can retroactively charge the higher premium that you should have been paying. In an extreme case, it could revoke your coverage.

You also don’t want to drastically lower your liability coverage in order to reduce your rate increase. Granted, doing so may save a few dollars now. However, it doesn’t make sense to carry less coverage on a higher-risk driver. Should your teenager get into an accident, you’ll be forced to cover the damages from your own pocket.

Safety first. Ultimately, helping your son or daughter establish a good driving record will be your best protection against sky-high insurance rates. Of course, the primary objective of driving safely is to prevent injuries and fatalities.

Talk to your teenager’s drinking or recklessness results in an accident, your premiums can jump by several hundred percent.

The longer your teenager motors along without an accident or traffic violation, the more you’ll be able to negotiate lower premiums. More importantly, you’ll know that your son or daughter is less likely to be involved in an accident.

Once you are able to abstain from all this you will naturally get cheap car insurance quotes.
Stay on board.
Thanks.

Amish Shah: Will you please tell me how cheap car insurance rates are there in different states of USA for teens or young drivers or college students ?

Finding Cheap Car Insurance
Resonse : Amish finding cheap car insurance has become very easier now with the advent of internet and online car insurance offers. If is no longer like finding a needle in a haystack. You can bid goodbye to frustratuons that can lead to fits of uncontrollable swearing and temper tantrums. However, unlike the endless quest for that needle, finding the least expensive car insurance has a point. The more coverage you can get at the lowest price means more money in your wallet and a lot less stress about paying your other bills.

Who are the competitors for cheap car insurance? Which companies offer the cheapest insurance? That really depends on what you’re looking for. The amount of coverage you want will determine the price, along with your age, driving record and where you live.

Take for example, Geico. Everyone knows the little green gecko ads. They are extremely effective. But how much would they charge a 21-year-old male living in the suburbs outside of Boston, MA? Let’s say that 21-year-old is looking only for liability coverage, forgoing comprehensive, collision and medical coverage for a 1995 Chevy Cavalier. Let’s assume he has a clean driving record with no accidents or speeding tickets reported. If he selects all the minimum liability amounts for bodily injury, property damage and personal injury, his premium will be $83.30 a month, or $999.60 per year. That same 21-year-old living in Carmel-By-The-Sea in California would pay $56.32 a month or $675.84 a year for insurance, under the same conditions, searching for the same amount of coverage.
It would be smart for you to compare the auto insurance rates online where you As any smart shopper would find out that this list is constantly changing. It would pay to check out Geico’s competition. A quick visit to Amica Mutual’s web site, using the same criteria with the same 21-year-old male, shows he would be paying an annual rate of $799 in suburban Massachusetts and $695.54 in sunny California. So the 21-year-old in Massachusetts would be smart to choose Amica Mutual for his car insurance, while the 21-year-old in California would more than likely choose Geico.

Why the discrepancy? Different states demand different minimums for liability coverage. Massachusetts sets minimum bodily injury liability coverage at $20,000 with a maximum payout of $40,000 per accident, along with a $5,000 limit for property damage. There is also a mandatory minimum for any uninsured drivers who might get behind the wheel of your car, also set at $20,000 with a max payout of $40,000. In California, the minimums are lower, with bodily injury set at $15,000 with a max payout of $30,000 and a minimum $5,000 property damage liability coverage. California does not require drivers to carry coverage for any uninsured or casual drivers who might get behind the wheel.

Each insurance company would base their auto insurance rates on their own experience and this detail is broken down to the area and even the specific vehicle-wise claims experience of the insurance company, hence any young driver or teen should compare the auto insurance rates online to get cheap car insurance.

One good indicator of where to start looking for cost-effective car insurance is consumer surveys. Survey giant J.D. Power & Associates rank customer satisfaction with insurance companies annually. In their latest ranking, Amica Mutual topped the list, with State Farm and Shelter taking the second and third spots. Some other big names, like Geico and Progressive ranked further down the list, coming in at nine and 14, respectively.

One thing cannot be stressed enough: where you live plays a large role in determining how much you pay. Keep in mind, our 21-year-old in Massachusetts was living within 25 miles of a major urban centre, with a higher population density than picturesque Carmel-By-The-Sea. In fact, Massachusetts is one of the more expensive states where one can obtain insurance. In a nationwide survey done in 2005 (the latest figures available), five Northeastern states (New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Delaware) ranked in the top 10 most expensive states for car insurance. Connecticut comes in at number 11. Drivers in New Jersey drivers pay an average of $1336.20 in premiums a year. Only Maine, with its sparse population, ranked in the top ten for lowest car insurance rates. The Midwest makes up the rest of the list with Iowa being ranked the cheapest place to obtain car insurance. Drivers in Iowa drive easy knowing they’re paying an average of $664.20 in premiums every year.

When you do start looking for insurance, be sure to prepare. Remember that no one company offers across-the-board cheap rates, and be sure to compare quotes. Take advantage of any discounts you might be eligible for, including multiple car options and group rates. The best thing to do is find a rate that you can afford that covers everything you want. Don’t let a cheap quote that cuts corners entice you, because in the end, you get what you pay for.

As per the latest news of 27th January 2009, Toyota has recalled 8 models in the USA and Canada. Do you think the auto insurers are going to give you cheap auto insurance rates for cars which have a defect in their accreetion pad?
